Our kennel - Lucida Stelle - Bright Star FCI The love affair with the Lagotto Romagnolo breed began in 2019. My first dog, Max, Maximilius for short (a stunningly beautiful Doberman purebred), died a few years back (cancer at age 11). I knew I would eventually seek a new companion, friend, or puppy to keep and care for. By complete coincidence, I was reading an article about truffle mushrooms, and the breed Lagotto Romagnolo was mentioned. It wasn’t long before I decided to look for a puppy. I wanted to be sure that the puppy chosen for us would be well cared for, loved and healthy. We started looking for a breeder. After receiving several photos of the puppy, and meeting the breeder in person, we fell in love with the puppy. My little guy Duccio – Duke, was chosen and the rest is history as they say. My life will never be the same in a good way. He came with the name DUCCIO. “Ducci” is of Italian origin name, and means „Gift from God”. Soon after Duccio got a little bit bigger, we realized that Ducci needed a companion.At that time I worked full-time. My little guy would be home alone. My daughter was helping out with his walks, playtime, and feeding Ducci. Now we have three of them: Duccio, Sissy and Lady. We loved them dearly, they are a fantastic addition and part of our family. They are everywhere with us, including international travel. We explore together! And it’s lots of fun and they bring lots of joy and laughter.
